Homework came home Friday, August 25, 2023, in your child’s homework binder. There are skills to work on for the month.

Kindergarten Homework

1. 1. Reading Log – Read to your child as often as possible and record on the reading log (for a reading homework grade)
   2. Sight Words – Memorize the monthly sight words (for a monthly reading test grade)
   3. Fluency Sentences – Practice reading the sentences to mastery (for a monthly reading test grade)
   4. Sight Word Sentences Writing Journal – Use the monthly sight words to help your child create and write 10 sentences (for a monthly English homework grade)
   5. Math Practice on IXL – Have your child complete at least 30 math questions a week on IXL and record on IXL log (for a monthly math homework grade. Doesn’t begin until October)
   6. Word Families – Memorize the monthly word family words (doesn’t begin until December)
   7. Word Family Writing Journal – Practice writing the word family words (doesn’t begin until December)
