Hi! I hope you are excited for this to be a blessed year of learning and growing for your child at SEAS! I am Christine Da Mata and it is my privilege to serve your family as your child’s teacher in Kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year. This will be my thirteenth year as a teacher and my ninth year here at SEAS serving Jesus by teaching the next generation of saints.
Kindergarten is all about love and learning is all about practice. God IS love, and children at this age are learning to love Him, school, their classmates, and themselves. How they see themselves as learners this year will affect them for years to come. My goal is to provide a safe environment for them and guidance in emotional, intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social growth appropriate for their stage of development. Every child is capable of learning, and it as my job to learn how each student learns and assess where they are so that I may practice skills with them effectively until mastery of the Diocesan standards for Kindergarten are reached. I also work with parents as they are their child’s primary teacher by communicating what we are doing in the classroom and sending home meaningful practice they can do with their children that is an extension of what we are learning in the classroom.
