A new, revised version of IOWA assessments (Form E) will be given to all students grades 2-8 during the week of March 5-9. The revisions reflect changes that have occurred in curriculum, content, and instructional practices across the country. Most notably are the changes in the area of technology instruction and application. There is a continued emphasis on the ability of students to demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Scores from this first administration of Form E will be used as a baseline score by which future growth can be measured.

Our school teachers and administrators should be commended for recognizing advancements that have been made in teaching, learning and assessment, and in choosing to establish a foundation for fostering the growth that will help your child(ren) to be career or college-ready.

Please ensure a positive assessment week for your child by promoting suitable bed times and a hearty breakfast. The faculty of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School thanks you for your continued support!
